Privacy Policy & Cookie Disclosure

How NextBigBill collects, protects, and handles information, along with our transparent third-party advertising and cookie policies.

1. Zero Personal Identifiable Information (PII) Policy

NextBigBill is purposefully engineered so that home buyers and owners never need to create an account, register, or disclose personally identifiable information (PII). We do not request, store, or transmit your:

  • Full name or identity documents
  • Physical street address, unit number, or parcel identification
  • Email address, telephone number, or banking details
  • MLS listing numbers or confidential purchase contracts

All financial calculations (e.g. equipment replacement schedules, monthly reserves, and Condition-Equalized Prices) are executed directly within your local browser runtime.

2. Client-Side Hash Sharing (Unindexed by Search Engines)

When you use our “Compare Two Homes” feature, your comparison inputs (purchase prices and system ages) are compressed strictly into the URL hash fragment (/compare#state=...).

Under standard HTTP specifications, text following the hash symbol (#) is strictly client-side and is never transmitted to our web servers or indexed by Google Search. This ensures your comparative modeling remains entirely private.

3. Advertising & Third-Party Cookie Disclosures

NextBigBill does not currently serve ads through Google AdSense. If advertising is enabled in the future, Google and other advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver and measure ads. We will update this notice to reflect the services and choices available at that time.

  • Google's advertising controls: If Google ads are enabled, you can review or change personalized advertising settings through Google Ads Settings.
  • Third-party advertising choices: You may be able to opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info.
  • Partner notices: If third-party ad partners are added, their use of cookies and available opt-out choices will depend on the services enabled and applicable settings.

4. Browser LocalStorage & Local Client State

NextBigBill utilizes browser localStorage solely to preserve non-sensitive client preferences directly on your local device. This includes:

  • Your preferred CapEx planning horizon (3, 5, 7, or 10 years).
  • Your cookie consent decision (nbb_cookie_consent).
  • Temporary local comparisons during your active browsing session.

Data stored in localStorage is purely local to your device browser. It is never transmitted to, synchronized with, or cataloged on any remote web server or third-party database.

5. Anonymous Log Data & Infrastructure Telemetry

Like most website operators, our edge hosting infrastructure records non-identifying telemetry including browser type, operating system, referring URL, time spent on pages, and timestamp. This data is used solely for infrastructure security, DDOS mitigation, and optimizing page load speeds (Core Web Vitals).

6. GDPR, CCPA, and European CMP (IAB TCF v2.2) Compliance

Because NextBigBill does not sell, trade, or monetize personal consumer information, we fully honor the California Consumer Privacy Act (“Do Not Sell My Personal Information”) and European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) standards.

Notice for EEA, UK, and Swiss Visitors: To comply with European regulations and the IAB Europe Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF v2.2), NextBigBill will use Google's certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) for applicable advertising consent in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland when Google advertising is enabled. When visiting from eligible European jurisdictions, regulatory consent choices for advertising cookies and personalized tracking are presented and recorded directly through Google's certified CMP interface.
